The camp was established with the intent to isolate and \u2018re-educate\u2019 those individuals suspected of possibly siding with the USSR in a potential conflict between Yugoslavia and the USSR, offering support to the USSR, and participating in the possible toppling of the Yugoslav government. Goli Otok was considered a camp for Ibeovci <\/em>(\u2018IBers\u2019 or \u2018Cominformers\u2019, supporters of the Cominform), but turned into a camp for imprisoning anyone who was opportunistically branded as an Ibeovac <\/em><\/p>\n There were separate camps for men and women.
